This episode of Confetti Park features the children's story The Rainbow Fairies, written by Gypsy Damaris Boston of Ida, La.
Have you seen the rainbow fairies? You probably have, but didn't realize it... you might be surprised by where rainbows come from!
This is Confetti Park, coming to you from New Orleans. Confetti Park is a playground of magical, locally-spun music and stories. I’m your host Katy Ray. Here in Confetti Park, we’re going to listen to songs that kids love, songs created for kids, or created by kids, right here in Louisiana. There will be stories, too, and a little surprise lagniappe thrown in from time to time.
Confetti Park is a real park, a real place, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in New Orleans. … Go there and you’ll find swings and slides and picnic tables under cypress trees, situated in a historical community called Algiers Point. Confetti Park is a real place, but it’s also a magical place…. much like New Orleans and Louisiana. That magic is the inspiration for this show.
